About Jeff

Jeff Holman received his law degree from Duke University along with an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Jeff also holds a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley.

Jeff sits on the Executive Committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Silicon Valley Bar Association. He is also a member of the Trusts and Estates Sections of the California State Bar and the San Mateo County Bar Association, and is a member of the Financial Planning Forum of Palo Alto.

Prior to practicing law, Jeff was an officer in J.P.Morgan's Technology Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York.

Jeff is on call 24/7 as a member of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Unit, where he currently serves as Training Director. Related to this work, Jeff is a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Wilderness EMT.

Among other hobbies, Jeff is a photography enthusiast, and he displays various images from time to time on his personal website:

 

Jeff and his wife, Laurel, live in Menlo Park with their daughter, Julia, and their son, Andrew.

 
About Ken

A graduate of Stanford University Law School and the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania, Ken Kaye practiced for 35 years in the areas of trust and estate planning, charitable gift planning, probate and real estate transactions, with special attention to tax issues in these areas.

In December 2006, Ken was diagnosed with an advanced case of a very aggressive form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.  Ken passed away in September 2007.

Ken was a Board Member and past-President of the Palo Alto Financial Planning Forum. He also worked as a volunteer planned giving mentor for the Community Health Awareness Council and other non-profit organizations.
